Assessment

The County of Athabasca contracts out this service with qualified assessors to determine the value of your property for tax purposes. Calculations are based on Provincial legislation and regulations.

People who feel their assessment in incorrect should talk to the assessors first. Usually concerns about assessment issues can be resolved quickly without formal appeals.

However all assessments can be appealed within 30 days from the date of mailing of the notices. Appeal fees do apply.

The assessment roll is available for viewing free of charge at the County administration building during normal business hours.

NOTE: Please let the County administration staff know if any information on your notice is incorrect.
