This Weekend: LUB/MDP Planning Workshops

Following a comprehensive review of the County’s existing planning documents, draft versions of the Athabasca County’s Municipal Development Plan (MDP) and Land Use Bylaw (LUB) were prepared in 2017.

Based on feedback we’ve received from County residents, Athabasca County would like to explore four focus areas with you in greater detail to help us fine tune the draft MDP and LUB bylaws.

The Planning Workshops will focus on four areas of discussion:

  • Lakeshore and Country Residential Development
  • Agriculture
  • Hamlet Development
  • Industrial Development

All community members are invited to join in this important part of the planning process by attending one of five Planning Workshops. These workshops are 3.5 hours in length and will provide information about the project and most importantly, an opportunity for those who attend to contribute directly to the process.

The workshops take place on the following dates, times and places:

Friday, July 13 5 pm  to 8:30 pm Athabasca Regional Multiplex 2 University Drive, Athabasca
Saturday, July 14 10 am to 1:30 pm Boyle Seniors’ Drop-In Centre 4800 – 3 Street, Boyle
Saturday, July 14 5 pm to 8:30 pm Wandering River Senior Drop-In Centre 4016 – 53 Street, Wandering River
