For Residents

Citizens of Athabasca County play an important role in identifying and mitigating fire risks in their areas. With that, we would like to provide our citizens with the resources they need to be fire aware.

Sustainable Resource Development

The provincial government’s Environment and¬†Sustainable Resource Development (ESRD) has a wide range of wildfire resources available.

Information can be found on the ESRD website or on their Facebook and Twitter pages. Both pages provide up-to-date details on ongoing fire efforts. SRD’s Facebook page provides a number of educational videos on wildfires.

ESRD also provides a fire map, detailing current wildfires and their statuses across the province.
